My interest in fine art photography goes back to the early
seventies when I developed my first film in the bathroom
of my parents' house in Dublin. These first tentative
steps may not have scaled the heights of cultural expression,
but succeeded in inspiring me to a lifelong fascination
with the magic of the photographic image. The photographs
in this gallery are all done for my own enjoyment, fulfilling
a deep inner need to express my observations and ideas
in a visual form. Some of the images are a result of collaborations
with other artists, both musicians and poets, where I
have endeavoured to express motifs from one artistic form
in terms of another. Much of the work that I have done
in these areas has been used for book and CD covers. I
remain open for further collaborations. I am also interested
in working with architects and interior designers on site-specific
projects.
